Overview
Why affordable housing matters
Housing is the foundation of every other outcome a family can pursue. When a household has a safe, stable, affordable home, children stay in the same school, health improves, and income can go toward savings instead of survival.
Thrive Communities Foundation is building toward developing and preserving affordable rental and homeownership opportunities in partnership with municipalities, community development financial institutions, faith-based landowners, and mission-aligned builders. Our priority will be neighborhoods facing displacement pressure, where patient support can protect long-term affordability.
Program goals
- Develop and preserve affordable rental and homeownership units with local partners
- Help households at risk of eviction remain stably housed
- Preserve naturally occurring affordable housing at risk of speculative sale
- Support first-generation renters on the path to homeownership through savings and counseling

We plan to support predevelopment, acquisition, and joint-venture partnerships with local builders and community land trusts.
Homebuyer Readiness
Counseling, credit-building guidance, and down-payment assistance navigation for first-generation buyers.
Eviction Prevention
Emergency assistance navigation, landlord mediation, and legal referrals to help keep families housed.
Home Repair & Aging in Place
Critical repairs, accessibility retrofits, and energy upgrades for longtime owners on fixed incomes.
