Our Programs
Economic Opportunity & Entrepreneurship
Aiming to connect neighborhood entrepreneurs with the capital, coaching, and customers they need to grow.
Overview
Why economic opportunity & entrepreneurship matters
Small businesses are the employers, tax base, and gathering places of a healthy neighborhood — yet many founders are routinely denied the capital their business plans deserve.
Our Economic Opportunity program is being designed to pair flexible microcapital with hands-on technical assistance, and to open doors to real revenue through procurement relationships with anchor institutions, hospitals, universities, and corporate partners.
Program goals
- Provide microloans and recoverable grants to under-capitalized founders
- Offer individualized technical assistance to early-stage businesses
- Help create and retain quality local jobs
- Connect neighborhood vendors with anchor-institution purchasing opportunities
